Bears Make for a Dangerous Game

For Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011 Commercial, the grizzly bear takes center stage. Creating a fur-covered beast on budget and on schedule was top priority while creating this commercial for the videogame Dangerous Hunts 2011. Using some of the top specialists and artists for fur and hair simulation, Dilated Pixels was able to create a dramatic bear chase sequence.

Dilated Pixels is happy and humbled to announce that we have received our first nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Broadcast Miniseries, Movie or Special. Our very first project, Infestation, was nominated for the 2010 VES Awards.

Life After People, Brüno Titles into 2009

Dilated Pixels enters Summer, 2009 by contributing to a majority of the episodes of the History Channel’s successful series, “Life After People.”

The talents of Dilated Pixels were also tapped for the big screen to provide the sassy and subliminal-message infused title sequence for Sasha Baron Cohen’s “Brüno.” 


“Never Knew You” Music Video Premieres

Dilated Pixels is proud to have provided production services and visual effects for “I Never Knew You” by the artist Cage. This project was directed by Shia LaBeouf. Jeff Balis and Ken Franchi produced. 

This video is scheduled to be in wide release via MTV2 and mtvU and their respective websites on May 18th. 


Our charge in creating the visual effects for this video was to create the “ethereal spirit,” a beautiful girl that seems to float through our existence, and the “troubled presence,” as portrayed by a dark, looming cloud that floats above a man with questionable intent.
